Rolls of TPO membrane and polyiso boards staged on a flat roof in morning light

Who we are

A roofing contractor built around the bid.

Magnus Roofing installs and replaces commercial roofs in Dallas and Greenville, Texas. The same crews roof homes.

What we do

From the drawings to the roof.

Our estimating team reads the drawings and the Division 07 spec, measures the takeoff and sends a proposal you can put straight into your bid form. After the award, we break the work down by roof area, send daily reports with photos and put together the closeout documents your contract asks for.

How we work

Every roof starts as a bid.

  1. Roof plan takeoff on an estimator's monitor beside a printed roof plan and scale

    01

    From your drawings

Roof plans, details, mechanical sheets and the Division 07 spec.

  2. Aerial view of a white commercial roof with tapered crickets between drains

    02

    Measured to scale

Quantities checked against a known dimension before they count.

  3. Rolls of TPO membrane and polyiso boards staged on a flat roof in morning light

    03

    Priced line by line

Each line from our own unit-cost database, alternates on their own.

  4. White commercial roof at dusk with the Dallas skyline on the horizon

    04

    Signed off

An estimator approves every proposal before it goes out.

How we work

Four habits.

  • Bid first

Quantities trace to a sheet and a scale. Prices trace to a unit cost.

  • Nothing leaves unsigned

    An estimator approves every proposal.

  • Revisions stay on record

Addenda are compared line by line and every revision is kept.

  • Photos every working day

The record covers what the next layer will hide.

In the field

The work, close up

  • Hot-air welding machine on a white TPO seam on a commercial roof
    Membrane
  • Aerial view of a white commercial roof with tapered crickets between drains
    Drainage
  • Close view of charcoal standing-seam metal roof panels and ridge

Name and mark

The helmet and the plume.

The Spartan helmet carries a roofline in its crest and an orange plume. The orange is the color of the work: the line between a bid and a roof.
